This project title is coming from my current favorite song entitled “来来！ 「幸福」” (Lailai! ‘Xingfu’) by Maki Goto. This song’s lyrics are all about sharing food with your favorite person. This is a miscellaneous diary of my life and I write about food a lot, so I decided to borrow the title.
The theme is a picture essay all about my life. The inspiration is coming from a picture essay book that I read before this summer, 欲が出ました(Yoku Ga Demashita) written and drawn by Shinsuke Yoshitake. In the book, he makes sketches he noticed in daily life and writes small essays about them. I was surprised by his mindful life when I first read this book, so I decided to make my own picture essay.
I also write a small diary on a daily basis, and when I looked back at it, I found my life is full of joy and also a lot of things to work on. As I have depression and hypersomnia issues these days, I tend to overlook that I am blessed by the people and things surrounding myself. I was still originally planning to make this picture essay since after I read the book, but now this work has more meanings than I was expecting it to have.
この題名の由来は、最近よく聞いている後藤真希さんの”来来！「幸福」”という歌から取っている。この曲の歌詞は好きな人とご飯を一緒に食べたいという内容だ。この作品は私の日々の生活で得たつぶやきであり、特に食べ物についてたくさん書いているのでこのタイトルを借りることにした。
このページのテーマは私の生活にまつわる絵日記だ。2023年、夏が始まる前に読んだ、ヨシタケシンスケさんの「欲が出ました」にインスピレーションを受けた。ヨシタケさんが生活を送る中で気づいたことをスケッチに起こし、それについてのエッセイが書いてあるという内容の本だ。この本を読んだ時、ヨシタケさんがあらゆる物事に意識を向けていることに感銘を受け、私も自分の絵日記を作ってみようと思った。
私もほぼ毎日小さな日記を書いているが、それを見返した時に私の生活は楽しいことで溢れていて、それと同時にこれから頑張らないといけないこともたくさんあると気づいた。最近自分の内に抱えている鬱と過眠症のせいで、私は周りの人や物に恵まれていることを忘れがちだ。ヨシタケさんの本を読んだ時から私自身の絵日記を描きたいと思っていたが、今思い返すとこのドローイング集は元々予想していたものよりも大切な作品になっている。

“What is poetry for you?” I was asked by Mariko, the best poetry teacher, and I was wondering what I should answer. There are many components that make text a poem, such as rhythm, repetition, word choice… etc. I value those things as well as others do, but having a good internal rhythm does not fit my attitude toward writing. What should I answer, I wondered and found the answer. It is the back of flyers.
Once in a while before on the Japanese Internet, there was a slang called “back of flyers.” It means things something trivial on the Internet, such as your daily life, your thoughts about your life, and so on. Those things were taken as trivial in the early days of the Japanese Internet. When people saw something not significant to their enjoyment on the website, people said, “Write those things on the back of flyers.”
My poems are like that. Everything is trivial. However, things change over time, and the flyers these days are usually double-sided. You cannot doodle on the back of flyers anymore. Likewise, there are many tasks we need to pay attention to today, and I would say it is harder to show your vulnerability than 2000s. Though, I want my daily miscellaneous thoughts to be counted in my life. Therefore, this is how I would answer the question from Mariko. Poetry is the back of flyers.
「あなたにとって詩とは何ですか？最高の詩の先生であるマリコ先生に聞かれ、何と答えようか悩んだ。リズム、繰り返し、言葉の選び方......等々、文章を詩にする要素はたくさんある。私はそれらも大切にしているが、内に秘めるリズムが良いというのは、私の文章に対する姿勢には合わない。どう答えればいいのだろう、と考えて答えを見つけた。チラシの裏である。
以前、日本のインターネット上で、「チラシの裏 」というスラングが流行ったことがある。自分の日常生活や、自分の人生についての所見など、些細なことを意味する。日本のインターネットの黎明期には、それらは些細なこととして受け止められていた。掲示板にくだらない日常生活が載っていると、「そんなことはチラシの裏にでも書いておけ 」と言われた。
私の詩もそうだ。すべてが些細な出来事からきている。しかし、時代とともに状況は変わり、最近のチラシはたいてい両面になっていて、チラシの裏には落書きできなくなった。同じように、現代には気を遣わければならないタスクがたくさんあり、2000年代よりも自分の弱さを見せることが難しくなっていると言えるだろう。とはいえ、日々の雑多な思いは、自分の人生にカウントしてほしい。というわけで、マリコ先生からの質問にはこう答える。私にとって、詩はチラシの裏だ。

I tried to keep recording my shower thoughts that popped up and disappeared. I combined them with photos taken without a predetermined concept or theme. The zine is based on the idea that these two can be seen as snapshots of everyday life. I decided to present relatable thoughts to converse with the audience, not my deep thoughts because those thoughts guides the audience to feel in the way I want them to feel. This time, I decided to be like a shokunin [craftsman] who serves shower thoughts in a consistent quality, with the best-matching photos.
私は、シャワーを浴びている時などに浮かんでは消えていく考え（シャワーソーツ）を記録することを試みた。そして、それらをコンセプトやテーマを決めずに撮影した写真と組み合わせた。このzineは、それら2つは日常生活のスナップショットとして見ることができるのではないかという考えに基づいている。深すぎる考えは読者を特定の解釈に導いてしまうため、対話をする時のように親近感のある考えを載せることにした。今回、私は職人のように、一貫したクオリティのシャワーソーツを、最もフィットしている写真と共に印刷することにした。
A dust on my lens

This is a collection of my film photos...... but! There were white spots on the photos because there seemed to be dust on the lens (nerdy film facts: it’s actually dust on the negative film, not the lens!) So, I decided to focus on the dust instead of the photos.
フィルムカメラで撮った写真集……なのですが！レンズに埃が付いていたようで写真に白い斑点がありました（フィルム豆知識：実はレンズではなくネガフィルムについた埃です！）。そこで、写真ではなく埃にフォーカスを当てることにしました。
